My passion for trees as subject matter is rooted as much in their ubiquitousness in this corner of the world as in natural beauty. The graphical quality of trees and their ever-changing character throughout the seasons inspire me deeply. To quote Hermann Hesse, “Trees are sanctuaries. Whoever knows how to speak to them, whoever knows how to listen to them, can learn the truth. They do not preach learning and precepts, they preach, undeterred by particulars, the ancient law of life.”
